The end of the holidays means the start of a new year. It also means the end of college apps, stressful situations, and stress period. It’s finally nice to come home after a long day of school and not have to worry about staying on campus until dawn to finish essay reading, assembly planning…(which will still have to happen), and most of all staying up and stressing about a situation that will not determine your future.
The end of winter break also means the end of sleeping in until 1 PM, laying around in PJs watching marathons on Netflix, and the end of eating out every day and gaining weight from the holidays.
I am proud to say that I am excited for the new year and what it has to bring. 2014 will be a year of graduating high school, starting a new chapter at my first year in college…where ever that may be, and most importantly a new year filled with new opportunities.
At the land of happiness, I am sure the workers feel relieved the holiday seasons are over as well. Maybe relieved isn’t the best term, because I am sure all Disneyland workers love and enjoy their jobs, but they feel as if one of the busiest times of year over and they can finally relax; probably similar to how many students feel as well.
With three weeks left and an assembly to plan this Friday, the stress is still there, but I finally feel…unloaded.
